About the role

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Design & Technology Woodworking Teacher to join our team in Bedford. This role offers a unique opportunity to inspire and educate students in the art of woodworking and design technology, fostering their creativity and technical skills. As a teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and creating a supportive learning environment that encourages hands-on experience in woodworking techniques. In this long-term, contract position, you will work closely with students to develop their understanding of design principles and woodworking practices. You will be expected to collaborate with colleagues in the Technology Education department to enhance the curriculum and ensure that students are equipped with the necessary skills for future endeavors in design and technology careers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Design, Technology Education, or a related field
• Mid-senior level teaching experience in woodworking or design technology
• Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques and safety practices
