We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Maidstone Primary Forest School Leader to join our Primary department on a contract basis. In this role, you will inspire and engage children in outdoor learning experiences, fostering their curiosity and connection with nature. You will lead activities that support their social, emotional, and physical development within a Forest School framework, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all participants.
As a Primary Forest School Leader, you will work collaboratively with teaching staff and parents to create memorable learning opportunities for children in Key Stage 1 (KS1), Key Stage 2 (KS2), and Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Your role will be instrumental in promoting outdoor education and instilling a love for the natural world in young learners.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Education, Environmental Science, or a related field
Experience working with children in a primary or outdoor education setting
Knowledge of the Forest School methodology and its principles
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to create engaging and age-appropriate outdoor learning activities
First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Flexibility to work on a temporary basis, adapting to varying needs of the school
