Primary Receptionist - Primary Department, Bedford

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Receptionist to join our Primary Department in Bedford. This long-term contract position requires someone who can create a welcoming atmosphere for students, parents, and staff. As the first point of contact, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities within the school environment. In this role, you will manage phone calls, greet visitors, and assist with administrative tasks to support the educational team. You will need to maintain a positive and professional demeanor, particularly in high-pressure situations, while being flexible to meet the needs of our diverse primary community, including EYFS, KS1, and KS2 students.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• Prior experience in a receptionist role, preferably within an educational setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively
• Proficiency in using office software and equipment
• A friendly and approachable demeanor
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and daily challenges
