About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo) to join our team in Dunstable. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading the development of our SEN strategy, ensuring that all students with special educational needs receive the support they require to thrive. You will work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external agencies to create personalized learning plans and promote inclusive practices within the school environment. As a SENCo, you will play a crucial role in identifying students' needs, assessing their progress, and delivering tailored interventions. Your expertise will help empower students, fostering a culture of understanding and respect for diversity within the classroom. This is a permanent, long-term contract position suited for a mid-senior level professional with a Master's Degree in a relevant field.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Special Educational Needs or a related field
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Proven experience as a SENCo or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of current SEN legislation and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities
